Medical Terminology Online Course
This online, self-study course is applicable for beginners with no healthcare experience or for professionals who need a refresher course in Medical Terminology.
The Medical Terminology course teaches students the terminology used in medical coding, as well as how it applies in clinical settings. This course is valuable for anyone preparing for a career in any medical profession.
Upon successful completion of the online medical terminology classes, students will be able to:
· Correctly identify the roles of the four types of word parts in forming medical terms
· Analyze unfamiliar medical terms using that knowledge of word parts
· Learn medical terms and medical abbreviations for each body system
Train at your own pace with on-demand learning. Average time to completion is 40 hours. You’ll have access to a certified coaching team to help you along the way.

WHAT IS THE CPC EXAM?
The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is the gold standard for medical coding in a physician office setting. The CPC certification exam tests the competencies required to perform the job of a professional coder who specializes in coding for services performed by physicians and non-physician providers (eg, nurse practitioners and physician assistants). Individuals who earn the CPC credential have proven expertise in physician/non-physician provider documentation review, abstract professional provider encounters, coding proficiency with CPT®, HCPCS Level II, ICD-10-CM, and compliance and regulatory requirements for physician services.
